CDN media delivery in Shopware
For IT and hosting teams, a content delivery network, or CDN, distributes media outside the store server. FroggShop supports connection and copy updates; the CDN service must be supplied separately.
Separate media distribution
Media URLs use the project storage and delivery configuration. The CDN is a service to connect, not a network automatically supplied by the module.
Certain file extensions can be excluded from this delivery when their files must still be served from the origin.
Purge copies after a change
The existing purge integration targets Cloudflare. It collects the URLs of the image, its WebP variant and known thumbnails to request a refresh.
The technical team can also request a purge. The call depends on access to the Cloudflare zone and the service response.
Validate the network and cache policy
The provider, domains, excluded extensions and retention rules must be defined with the hosting team. Another provider requires checking or adapting the purge mechanism.
A purge request does not prove an instant refresh everywhere. Private media, purge errors and visible versions must be included in acceptance testing.
