Image optimisation in Shopware
FroggShop prepares optimised variants of compatible images to reduce the size of store visuals. Your team keeps its media library and chooses which folders to include.
Optimise images within the selected scope
Conversion covers JPEG and PNG images in eligible folders, including subfolders. It generates a main WebP version and the thumbnails defined in the configuration.
Generating variants and using them in the store have separate settings. Preparing files alone does not confirm that they appear on every page.
Match quality to catalogue needs
Compression settings let teams choose a suitable balance for their visuals. A detail photograph must remain clear enough to help customers examine the product.
Teams can generate variants from existing media and check the results before extending the scope.
Check the files actually served
Going live depends on image processing, generation tasks and the page templates that use the variants. File size and appearance must be compared on representative examples.
This feature promises neither optimisation of every format nor a quantified reduction in loading time. Source files and the delivery network must also be considered.
