Vehicle reference data: check data before publication in Shopware
Choosing the right part depends on the relationships between products and vehicles. Vehiculier prepares a queryable version of this data before activating it for storefront journeys.
Separate preparation from storefront use
Data from the product information management system, or PIM, feeds a versioned read repository in OpenSearch. Storefront queries do not require the PIM to be read again on every page.
This separation allows a new dataset to be prepared without confusing its import with its publication.
Check a version before activation
The activation process checks the candidate version and its structure, then prepares it for reads. Only a validated, write-protected version is eligible for the switch.
The previous version is retained to allow rollback according to retention rules.
Prepare a compatible rollback
Returning to a previous version requires a schema compatible with the active code. Teams check the actual status after switching and verify vehicle journeys.
Data volumes, cache and search infrastructure must be tested in the target environment. The mechanism is neither a guarantee of uninterrupted service nor certification of every vehicle–product match.
